Android TV Music dropbacks as slideshow....

Hi,

I have been searching this forum but I can't seem to find an answer.

Emby server is running on windows. I watch movies series and listen to my music collection on a Sony Android TV.

When I use Emby to play music on my windows machine and the artist has more then one backdrop, they are displayed as a slideshow.

When I listen to music on my TV only the first backdrop shows.... does Emby for Android TV lack this feature or am I missing a setting?

Thanks,

Hans

Hi.  I'll take a look but they should be rotating.

something else caught my eye, in the Android TV app, the logo is displayed as plain text, is that right?

It isn't possible for us to display a logo image as text so please post a screen shot of what you are talking about.

Thanks.

Any news on this issue?

Nope not rotating for me also. I have changed number of backdrops to 3, re scanned all of music but it is the same only shows first image / backdrop.

The multiple backdrops is something that will have to be looked into.

As for what you think should be a logo, why do you think that?  That field is just a text field showing the name of the artist.  It is not a logo.

I'ts just my idea that when you have a logo, it could be shown in that particular screen......

Unfortunately, that doesn't work very well because logos can be any size or shape.

Well, it would be nice but not necessary  :)  but I think the rotating backdrops are.

Thanks.

Hey guys,

Any progress on the rotating backdrops when playing music randomly?

Would be very nice.

Hi.  I just tested and the beta version is rotating backdrops during music playback for me.  Nothing specifically was done here but there is a new music player interface so, perhaps, that had an impact.

Hi ebr,

I know the backdrops are rotating when playing music however, they DO NOT rotate when playing music randomly what I am doing right now and only the first backdrop shows.

In the meantime, I've signed up to be tester and hope the update comes soon.

Thanks,

Hans

How, exactly, are you "playing music randomly"?

I'll send you a link to a video tomorrw.

Random play

Go to 00:50. I moved the cursor to the top row of artists, then I move up one more and the cursor moves to the top right. There I select play and from the dropdown Random (Alles willekeurig in Dutch)

I hope I could make myself clear.
