Media being streamed from device that is not currently streaming

so this is very strange.. i'm running the latest server v4.2.1.0 on asustor NAS and the devices i use to stream from it are firetv stick 4K using kodi.. so last time anything was being streamed from emby server was last night Aug 11th at 11:34:35PM.. today all day my wife was watching live TV on kodi.. as I was just sitting here doing a few things I noticed an episode of the show she was watching last night being streamed to the device she was watching live TV on just now.. when i stopped streaming live tv and went into main kodi menu the stream from emby server stopped.. basically the timestamp i have for today, is the episode started being streamed aug 12th at 10:24:45 am and finished at 11:30:54 am and then again started up at 8/12/2019, 3:17:41 pm and finished at 8/12/2019, 3:23:15 pm just as soon as I went into kodi main menu.. it's probably more of a kodi plugin issue I would assume but i decided to start here as the server is running on asustor.. hope there is some info in the logs for you that will help as to why a stream would start without anyone actually starting it..

Hi, sorry I don't quite understand the issue. You're saying the timestamps are off in the activity log?

hehe.. sorry for the confusion.. in short, my wife was watching live tv on the firetv 4k stick which had nothing to do with emby, however emby was running a stream to that device when no one was actually accessing it.. so the two timestamps i listed for today were when there was a stream being sent into firestick 4k, however no one was streaming it at all from firestick 4k.. it's really strange to me that emby was sending a stream into a device that was not using it at the time.. both instances it was the same file for some reason..

What makes you so sure that Emby was running a stream to the device?

I could see it on emby server showing that a file was being played on this device while it was doing something else entirely.. I wonder if it was just some random glitch as I just updated to 4.2.1.. i had other issues the day i posted this, where a lot of files would not play or start playing and crash afterwords.. I ended up closing kodi and restarting it on firestick 4k and did a sync.. since then everything has been good and I have not seen anything strange happen anymore.. i would think all is good now, but will keep an eye on things just in case..

What app did it say was playing?

My wife was watching a live tv plugin on kodi at the time, however emby server was showing it was streaming an episode called firestorm from one of my libraries to that device at the same time, when that was not the case as a live tv plugin was being watched at the time..

I haven't had any more of this happen since I rebuild libraries in kodi and so far things have been ok.. i'm hoping it was just some glitch after updating the server version and  a library rebuild might have fixed..
