twiggy2cents 0 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Separate issue, I know I should make another post but I will try here first. I have my metadata grabbers preferring Open Movie Database and Open TV Database, it is not finding metadata for episodes that Emby DVR has recorded. It is resorting to Screen Grabber. It previously just chose Season fan art. Has something changed? This seems to have persisted from stable to beta.
ebr 15665 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Hi. Do those recordings have proper series IDs and season and episode numbers? This data needs to come from the live TV guide for us to know what to search for.
twiggy2cents 0 Posted June 15, 2019 Author Posted June 15, 2019 That seems to be the issue, was there a migration issue from schedules direct over to the internal emby? It seems that I am missing the series ID's
twiggy2cents 0 Posted June 15, 2019 Author Posted June 15, 2019 Disregard that, it turns out theTVDB is using a screen grab for the episodes in question instead of standard boxart. Or probably more so that emby is using per episode art instead of box art I'm guessing?
twiggy2cents 0 Posted June 15, 2019 Author Posted June 15, 2019 I dont have a problem with what I am seeing but what changed? Did the metadata grabber change then to pull episode art instead of box art? Just curious why I am seeing a change.
Luke 40079 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 I don't really understand what you mean. Episodes grab the episode images from tvdb. They always have.
twiggy2cents 0 Posted June 15, 2019 Author Posted June 15, 2019 Maybe I had it to prioritize OMDB before it? I'm saying previously it was box art for each episode. I'll throw up an example. Maybe I had it prioritized wrong in the past but this is what I used to see and now I see episode art instead.
Luke 40079 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Try using the image editing features to obtain the images you want. Then try setting the metadata settings for the library back to defaults.
ebr 15665 Posted June 15, 2019 Posted June 15, 2019 Yes, it was probably a metadata priority issue. Doesn't showing episode art for episodes make the most sense though...?
twiggy2cents 0 Posted June 15, 2019 Author Posted June 15, 2019 100% yes, I just thought I had broken it and it was resorting to screengrab. I didnt realize that tweaking the metadata actually made it work better lol. I hadnt notice before that you could raise and lower priority. Thanks for the help guys
