Only first name being displayed for music artist

I have several Paul McCartney albums in my music collection. Each track is tagged with the correct name (via musicbrainz, but visually checked as well), and nfo file lists the artist as Paul McCartney.

Under metatdata manager, the artist is just listed as paul. Editing it in the manager and even locking it, after scan it displays the artist as paul again.

This is more of a cosmetic thing to me, because when I search for mccartney, it finds the albums/tracks, so it's just the way it's displayed

Are you sure they're tagged correctly across all id3 versions?

Half an hour before you replied, I decided to delete the music library from Emby, and rebuild it. Added McCartney first, and it now displays the artist correctly. Must have been a problem with the database somewhere

Out if interest do you have album and artist.nfo in the artist and albums, if so, what information is in the following fields?

 

  <musicbrainzalbumid>  </musicbrainzalbumid>

  <musicbrainzalbumartistid>  </musicbrainzalbumartistid>

  <musicbrainzreleasegroupid>  </musicbrainzreleasegroupid>

 

I'm seeing a farmiliar issue.
