Kodi 19 is not supported...

But I've just made an entry for it based on leia... may or may not work. Restart Kodi.

Or go back to 18.2 and post your Kodi log capturing your issue. Thanks.

Got pretty much the same symptoms over here.

I rolled back to the Emby for Kodi plug-in from the stable repo (4.0.5) by deinstalling beta (4.0.23a) and installing 4.0.5.

Connection problem solved.

Just for info (maybe it helps):

Problems with connection loss to the server occured after updating from CE 9.0.1 stable to a CE nightly build (i guess, but am not totally sure - from Kodi 18.1 to 18.2). Before that, 4.0.23a worked fine.

I can easily re-adjust an error situation anytime by installing the 4.0.23a plugin again: Instant error message with referral to the log (which I did not check yet, sorry!). Did not check either, if the server loses connection than.

I've just tested going from 4.0.5 to 4.0.23... no issues. I'll wait for your Kodi log with 4.0.23.

Updated from 4.0.5 (stable repo) to 4.0.23a from the Beta-Repo > instant error.

Here is the log from right after the update: http://paste.kodi.tv/foloyuboxa

and the log after a restart of CoreElec 9.0.2: http://paste.kodi.tv/egofokahew

Throws some exceptions. As there is no more connection to the server, my menu in embuary is gone.

Rolling back to 4.0.5, the menu is back up instantly.

Here is the log from 4.0.5., right after the downgrade: http://paste.kodi.tv/bimubilago
and the log after a restart: http://paste.kodi.tv/onuvehuhow

Does that help?

Cheers!

Do you have something like Pi-hole running? Or any other blocker?

EMBY.patch -> ERROR:: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='codeload.github.com', port=443)

If yes, whitelist codeload.github.com - or even better - github in general

That’s it! I am such an …
While "github.com" was already on the whitelist, "codeload.github" was indeed (still) blocked. Did not see that in the logs.

Seems to work now.

Thank you very much for the hint and help!

So i deinstalled all inclusive kodi. I install 18.2 RC Leia and push the backup in. Setup all thinks and have the same problem. No reactions. For the first time i roll the backup back it works. But i think there was another version from beta. After restart Kodi emby stopped working. No message no reaction, i can go to the settings, i can make a db reset, but after restart kodi nothing happend.

Here is a fresh log...

You do not have a local address assigned in your server.

If you open your server dashboard, it should show you both a LAN and WAN address. LAN seems to be missing in your case.

In your dashboard > advanced > do you have a network ip binded?

Is this new ? I have nothing change on the server side !

This is how it looks under advanced i never ever wrote something in it.

You are not the first person to face this. Try restarting your server, does LAN appear in your dashboard? If not, enter the local ip address of your server in that setting, restart your server.

@angleblue this helps me out. After i restart the Server i see my lan IP and now i can select my Server when i start emby.

Thank you very much. I think this was the Problem.

If you see this happen again, I’d recommend reporting it in the server section of the forums. Maybe there’s a reason for it or maybe it’s a bug...
