StewieGreen 158 Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I'd like to have the option to clear 'alerts' in the dashboard. I realize that they go away on their own, but if I can clear them then it's more obvious IF a new alert comes through. 14 10
aoommen 1 Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 @Luke and team, Is this something you guys are working on? Is there a workaround until this feature is available? I just would like to clear all (bulk remove) the alerts that have been viewed - possible? I'm on 4.6.0.8 beta.
Luke 39654 Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 It's something we can look at in future updates. thanks for the feedback. 3
Junglejim 383 Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) @Luke I'm calling bullshit on this one.. No need for that, as stated "they go away on their own". Why wast your time on this? Plus the new alert will be at the top! Edited December 14, 2020 by Junglejim 1
sydlexius 263 Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 It would be nice if similar to this, there could be an option to acknowledge the alert. Maybe the schema for the activitylog.db could be extended to add an "acknowledgement" column?

It will, but I don't need to know my dad put his password in wrong 5 days ago every time I check dash, and have to scroll down it to see the actual activity on mobile app
Happy2Play 9355 Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 Yes as they remain for 7 days but are still limited to the last 4, I believe. But yes there are several topics requesting a way to acknowledge and remove them. 1

Volodesi 10 Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Whew. 5 years later. Also would like this to be added. 1 1
hmitch 4 Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Another long-time user here requesting this. Seeing the scary red notifications for a week every time someone mistyped their passwords is distracting. 1 1
Chris0248 1 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Hello, my log files are not being deleted after 3 days. they go all the way back to when the server was created. Any idea why my alerts arnt clearing? I also get alerts for a failed login even when its a sucseful login it says failed.

If alerts are not clearing after 7 day there is something wrong with your server js file and if logs are not clearing after 3 day I would question if you changed your system.xml setting unless your server is just erroring out but would be seen in server log. So we need to see a server log.
Chris0248 1 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I haven’t changed anything at all. Do you need embyserver.txt?
Chris0248 1 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) These are the alerts i mean and they go all the way back to server start date Edited February 25 by Chris0248
Neminem 796 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) Guess you need to help your user to remember there password and username. Edited February 25 by Neminem
Happy2Play 9355 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) These have nothing to do with server logs not being deleted. So from the dashboard I believe limited to 4/5 will remain for 7 days before they fall off. As for the activity log it self it is forever. You have to shutdown Emby and delete the activitylog.db if you want to clear it. @Chris0248 Edited February 25 by Happy2Play
Chris0248 1 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Hello, Do i do that via ssh? thank you for the reply
Happy2Play 9355 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Just now, Chris0248 said: Hello, Do i do that via ssh? thank you for the reply Yes since this is a Synology.
