Guardian87 3
I have an issue with new episodes and shows not being recognized without doing a manual scan for my libraries. The issue persists for all libraries I have. I have tried the following structures for the files: TV ShowsShow AEpisode S01E01.mkv Show BSeason 01Episode S01E01.mkv Real time monitoring is activated for all my libraries. If someone has a good idea, I would appreciate it.
solabc16 379
Hello @@Guardian87 What model Synology are you running on? If possible, can you run the Send Logs utility, details here - https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Synology-:-How-to-Send-us-Support-Logs There's another conversation going on here, for reference : https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/69684-emby-version-4-real-time-monitoring-is-not-working-synology-2413/ Best - James
d21mike 2
Real time monitoring does not work for me on a Synology DS1019+. I have kind of given up on it for now because very busy with other things (like work) and just set my Schedule Scan of every hour instead of every 24 hours for now. I am moving from Plex which I plan to keep running for some things and for some in my family that like it and it has no problem with content showing up immediately. I share the exact same Media Share between them so not sure why on the same box Plex works and Emby does not work.
solabc16 379
Hello @@d21mike Thanks for the information, as I mentioned on the thread above, this is something we will follow up further once the next stable with updated runtime for your platform is released. There are a number of ways of implementing automatic media discovery, so it's not unsurprising that the behaviour differs. If possible, do run the Send Logs utility, as I will be able to confirm whether your issue has the the same root cause : https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Synology-:-How-to-Send-us-Support-Logs Best - James

I will send the logs once I am back at home. Thanks for the reference thread it seems to be exactly the issue I'm facing.
Guardian87 3
Sorry for the delay, finally got around to sending the logs. Filename: sendlogs_DiskStation_synology_evansport_214play_20190426T132558UTC.tgz The latest server update didn't seem to fix anything. I added a few movies today, that should be included in the logs. One more info maybe, my media is stored on a usb drive attached to my Synology box. Maybe this causes the issue? I'm running Plex in parallel and it recognizes the new files though. Edit: I also triggered the manual library scan afterwards. I can do another run where I add a file and send the logs without me manually triggering anything if that helps. Guardian87 3
After the manual scan they showed up immediately without any problems. If I add them and wait for the system to recognise them it won't work.
