blackboy211 1
Hi I was hoping someone can help me. I have used xTeve to successfully add the IPTV channels to my Emby Server. I can see most of the channels but I discovered a pattern where Emby could not find any channels that had the below tag: tvg-id="None" Is there a way that emby can still add the channel even though there is nothing in the tvg-id tag? I am not a fan of having to manually update my m3u file every time a new channel comes along. I was hoping this could be something that emby can mitigate. I can see the channel appearing on my xTeve dashboard but not in the Emby list of channels. Below is an example of a channel not working: #EXTINF:-1 tvg-name="Fox League HD" tvg-id="None" tvg-logo="" group-title="Sports",Fox League HD Also is there a channel limit in Emby. I know in Plex there is a 420 limit. Edited February 19, 2019 by blackboy211
Luke 37112
Hi, if they all have the same tvgid then that is why. We will be revamping this soon to allow you to better control this behavior, in the meantime i would try and find a way to avoid this. Thanks. blackboy211 1
I finally got it to work. When I added my EPG into Emby. I just used the original xml file provided to me by my provider instead of the xepg created by xTEVE. It looks like xTEVE filters out the channels before it hits emby. LETHAL-DANgER 2
Hello all, I was using Xteve to filter a new xteve.m3u file. The channels would appear in Emby but would not play. I noticed the xteve.m3u file was missing my IPTV login credentials. Is there a way the filtered m3u file would use my IPTV provider username and password? Is there a way the filtered m3u file would use my IPTV provider username and password? xteve just takes the links from the original m3u file from your provider and puts them in it's m3u file that it gives to Emby. Check your providers m3u file, it is likely your credentials are not there either.
LETHAL-DANgER 2
Thanks for the reply. The login credentials do exist in my providers m3u file as well the complete m3u that xteve generates. It’s the filtered m3u that xteve generated that is now missing the credentials. BillOatman 502
Sounds like whatever issue you are having is setting up xteve and not Emby. I'd suggest going to the xteve support discord channel. You should be able to get help there.
ErikaJ 56
Good Day...Yes, my creds are also noticed in my m3u file and this was one of the reasons I decided to can the use of Xteve. I use IPTV editor to do all the work that Xteve can do plus more. In addition, IPTV editor is much easier to work with and allows me to control EVERY aspect of my EPG and m3u files. I’m not sure you are well placed to make that comparison as you’ve never had xteve working
