K22R8CT 24 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Emby Server version 4 (which is much improved!) introduced a white border around video in the Safari web client. Windowed it's top and bottom, fullscreen it's a thin line on the bottom. See attached screenshots.
Luke 40078 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 That's strange. @@jscoys are you able to reproduce?
AZRichG 10 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 FWIW- I am not seeing that (playing back locally). I tried hiding and showing favorites bar and others, didn't get that to happen. MacOS Mojave 10.14.3 on a late 2015 iMac. That is an odd one!
K22R8CT 24 Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 I figured it was Safari being picky, doesn't seem like it'd be hardware-dependent. I shift-reloaded to clear browser cache, no change. If others aren't seeing it I'll dig in and report back. Stats: 2017 Macbook MacOS: 10.14.3 (latest) Safari: 12.0.3 (latest)
K22R8CT 24 Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 Okay I dug in. I deleted the video from those screenshots and I couldn't reproduce the top border problem with any others I checked. The bottom border problem is consistent in all videos. I fixed it by eliminating border-top in the .appfooter class. Hope that's helpful.
K22R8CT 24 Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 I reproduced the top border bug. Here I have the html element highlighted, note the top white bar isn't included. Strange!
K22R8CT 24 Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 (edited) I reproduced the top border bug with Netflix so that looks like a Safari video problem. The bottom border bug is Emby-specifc though, am I the only one experiencing it? Edited February 28, 2019 by Anon28109
Luke 40078 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Is it only after first playing music that this occurs?
Luke 40078 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Ok I'll keep an eye out for this although after one quick test on my mac book I was not able to reproduce.
K22R8CT 24 Posted March 14, 2019 Author Posted March 14, 2019 If I'm the only one complaining it's probably a me problem. I'll dig in some more, thanks.
Luke 40078 Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Actually i finally chased this down, thanks. 1
