Same here. I have Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8500 CPU @ 3.00GHz (Emby Premiere Lifetime as well). No acceleration at all. Your hardware acceleration guide doesn't include synology setup, so I am little bit lost. Do i need any additional driver? If I install nVidia GeForce GTX 1050, do I need to compile any driver? What is the mechanics of hardware recognition in the Emby itself? Can you provide some help, please?

Thank You in advance!

It seems that the driver was determined, but still chose the software.

Do you have Emby Premiere?

Warning: Hardware acceleration is not available as it requires a valid Premiere Subscription

Is there any conditional test period, 1 day or 1 hour, I want to check if it will work for me with such HW transcoding before buying

Software: Xpenology DSM 7.1.1

Hardware: Asrock J4105-ATX

Problem in Emby: Hardware transcoding is too slow – see logs.

Where is no such problem in the Video Station.

@DDim looks like it's due to burning in subtitles, which is going to be a very intensive process even for a powerful machine. How does it compare without subtitles?

Interesting as all other "Message": "Failed to initialize VA /dev/dri/renderD128. Error -1" topics say this was resolved in 4.8.8.0/4.9.0.23 but appears not for you.  Unless this build didn't get the fix but a dev would have to comment on that. @Luke
