Tizen Sideload to Tizen TV

I BETA tested Samsung apps for Plex and they had a simple two file (widget) on a thumb stick way to load up a version on the fly to the TV. I've not been able to find an equivalent download for Emby to upgrade before Samsung releases it OTA. Is this not an available option with Emby and Tizen. I have two issues with the OTA version I have. Endless spinning circle loops and trouble seeing I individual TV shows under each season.

Where are you seeing an endless circle loop?

Not always reproducible but mainly on the initial dashboard, when going into the movie selection sometimes, and almost always stops responding when searching (but no circle here). If it locks up I usually switch to my fire TV and use the old app style for a while.

Hi, are there any news for a tizen app to sideload?

 

I am from Germany and switched to a Samsung 2018 Q model tv.

It's not an option to change the location on the tv, because I'll loos all other German apps I need.

 

I have an emby prime subscription so it would be good to find a solution in the near future. Thanks.

Sorry in advance if these comments sound a bit harsh, but I, like all European users have been now waiting for more than 2 years for the tizen app to be released worldwide.

 

I will write it again: 2 years.

So my question is: do you care for your international users or not? Is emby an USA/UK/Ireland app only?

 

Yes, first we could understand Samsung is a bit slow to release, but come on... Two years? This is beyond " slow to release" and you owe us, especially the paying subscribers like me (and I am sure there are a few worldwide) more a real explanation and a real status. Why is Samsung not releasing? Is there some contractual issues? Money involved? Technical issues?

 

Yes, we all know the "change region" solution, but this is actually not a solution since it means giving up all the local applications that are needed in each country.

 

Remains the side-loading part, which we would all be happy to use, but nice since February that it was suggested to you, no progress either.

 

So, again, and sorry if this sounds harsh, but do you care what so ever for your worldwide users (meansjng non US/UK/Ireland)???
