wollabille 12
Dear forum Since Kodi and Emby was updated to Version 18 and Version 4.0.4 (as it did yesterday), then it wont sync automatically when i have watched an episode of a series or a movie. I have 3 units where i watch my media on. Living room (main unit) = NUC Gaming room = PC Bedroom = Nvidia Shield (fully updated also) I first had the problem with the Kodi Companien which i thought was the reason why it wouldnt sync. So after a bit of hassle i had it installed and aktivated it on 2 of the devices to begin with. This did not help. I have been going through (to what i know) all the menues on both the server and on my devices to see if there is something i have missed. My PC (in the gaming room) has a completely fresh installation because i used that as test with Beta's etc. I can add that when i add a new movie or episode of a series, then it will sync fine. So after a minut or 2 i am able to see it on my devices, so that part works fine. But for it to sync i will have to do it manually by going into addons -> emby and one of the menues there manualle sync (im sitting at work writing this post so cant remember the whole path. So has this feature been removed or have i missed something?
Angelblue05 4130
To recap, you are saying the watched status does not transfer between devices? Are they marked as watched in the webclient? Is Kodi running at the time?
JoshFink 19
To recap, you are saying the watched status does not transfer between devices? Are they marked as watched in the webclient? Is Kodi running at the time? I posted about the other issue I was having in it's own thread. However, when I just talked to my wife, she watched a show and said it's not updating the watched status. This is on the NVidia Shield.
Angelblue05 4130
Ok I am looking into it. But providing a Kodi log would be even better to hopefully see where things are not working. And is this updated on the webclient? Is Kodi running at the time?
JoshFink 19
This could be something to do with the Kodi Companion issue from my other thread.
Solution wollabille 12 Posted February 11, 2019 Author Solution Share Posted February 11, 2019 Hi all sorry for the late answer. But having a kid that has been sick and work that has taken all your time didnt give me much room to test things. But i must admit i really dont know what has happened after i did this post. But it seems now that all is working perfectly. When i watch an episode from the living room, it takes under 20 secs for it to sync on my main pc (tested this by just marking it as watched.). Also with the Shield its working again, it took a bit of time for it to work, by resetting it first and then setting it up again. But working A-OK. So consider this closed :-)
