I decided to build a PC with a Core I3 10th gen and with a 1030 just for some exstra transcoding capabilities. Sorry for onky replying now but been a bit busy lately. Kind Regards, But a 1030 will only have decoding capabilities not encoding. So the cpu will do more than the card. Check that model on the chart. That's good for nearly half a dozen SDR hardware transcodes. It should also handle tone mapped 4K HDR quite well too. Nothing wrong with that choice at all. Did you buy a complete system?
