Every Monday (Look at Feb 4) night on the Food Channel, the previous week's show is rerun at 8pm EST. Yet, it is marked as "New". Not only that, it does not have the episode number on it either. Could be because they changed the title by adding the words "Extra Icing:" in front. I also see them doing this a lot with their reruns. Worst Cooks In America, you can see this same pattern.

I don't know the proper way to get Emby Guide Data corrected, so that's why I'm posting it here. Not really an Emby problem, I don't think.

I have my recording setup for "New" only. So, this is quite annoying because Emby thinks these are versions of the current episode. And, it really should not be recording them anyway. My logs attached, just in case it helps.

I guess it could be. But in that thread it mentions Grace note says you should consider it a repeat if it's not new or live. On my guide, which is Digital Comcast Atlanta, it says the 8pm slot is "New". So, I fear is they are sending it to you that way and it's really not your fault.

That's what the guide data tells us.

Right. So what's the proper way to get the guide data fixed?

To inform the provider of the guide data.

So, how do I do that? I'm sure I won't be the first one to ask this. What's the URL, is there a form, do I need an account, etc.

You can try the Gracenote support pages here: http://www.gracenote.com/contact-video-support/

A better solution is to change the record settings. Go to "Scheduled" recordings, click on the show, click "Series Settings" and change the "Airtime" to "Around 9 p.m." (Or whatever time it airs new episodes)

Surely as Emby are providing the guide to us end-users, then shouldn't Emby be contacting GraceNote?
