Audio passtrough

Hi,

 

I have a little "issue" with auto passtrough on emby on my Shield TV.

 

My setup is like this :

Shield Tv ---> Hdmi ---> Marantz AVR ---> Hdmi --->  TV

 

If I use Youtube on the Shield for exemple, if the Marantz is in sleep mode, sound is transfered well to TV.

If I turn on the Marantz, sound is played well by the Marantz.

Pass-trough is working very well.

 

Now if i configure emby app on shield tv like that "always downmix to stereo", pass trough is working well too. If Marantz is in sleep mode, sound is rendered well by the TV.
If the Marantz is on, sound is rendered well without doing anything. It's good.

 

But, and there is my problem , if I let the setting in emby app to "pass-trough : auto", things are not as well managed.
If the Marantz is on, i have sound on it, all is good.
But if the Marantz is in sleep mode, I dont have any sound, even if the movie is in stereo.

Yes i pointed to this in an older thread where I summarized few little "issue" I have, but it's hard to make a clean track of those differents thing in a single thread.

Here it can be used by anyone who encounters the same problem.
