Hi all,

 

I hope there is someone that can help me.

 

I just installed Emby Server 3.5.3 on a Windows 2012 server. All seems to work fine except streaming to a Chromecast. When selecting a Chromecast on my iPhone it just displays "Ready to cast" and then nothing happens.

 

In the attached EmbyServer log file I started to stream to my Chromecast 20:44 (see also below).

For further info, I have also attached two ffmpeg log files.

Info about the setup

Emby Server 3.5.3 running on Windows 2012 server (IP: 10.0.0.102)

Chromecast 3. gen (firmware 1.36) (IP: 10.0.0.63)

iPhone 8 with IOS 12.1

Emby app 1.70

Good news, this sample is playing just fine for me. Based on that I would suggest re-evaluating this issue following the next release of Emby Server. Thanks !

I have now updated to the lastest version nad I can now stream to Chromecast gen 1, but I cannot stream to Chromecast gen 2.

 

I have attached two log files, a test for each Chromecast, hope some can help here..

Same behavior as below the upgrade.

 

When selecting a Chromecast gen 2 on my iPhone it just displays "Ready to cast" and then nothing happens.

This means that although the app can reach your Chromecast, your Chromecast cannot reach your Emby Server. Is this all inside your local network?

The Emby server, Chromecast gen1 and Chromecast gen 2 are all on the same local network.

I’m using Emby Media version 1.7.4 on a iPhone 8 with iOS 12.1.4

When you connect to the server using the iOS app, are you using a local network ip address?

I just now updated Emby server to version 4.0.3.0 and now it is working:-)
