Puff 4 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 (edited) Hi guys, I'm looking for options for a reliable PAID IPTV service to use with Emby. I have used Villo in the past and that worked pretty well. But I'm trying to build a list and guide for setting up IPTV properly on Emby. So looking for all the options that have been tested and known to be reliable. Any assistance and information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. jachin99 87 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 Thats probably going to be really hard to find. What you might be able to do is find a legal TV provider like USTV Now, and use something like this script to create a m3u list from their streams. It requires python but here is the link. https://github.com/mathsgrinds/ustvnow-iptv-m3u-playlist

If you have HDHomeRun connect or Quatro tuners … see below plus you can record it in EMBY. https://www.silicondust.com/premium-tv/
jachin99 87 Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 That is probably the best out of the box solution but those tuners still won't give you a m3u list of streams, and you just add the tuners via the live tv setup interface in your server settings.
Riggs 302 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 You can use sling tv or fubo tv Pay services, but legal. I use fubo instead sling because they have more cloud space. Nice is some plugin can be added to Emby with of those. @@Luke @@ebr 1

pwhodges 1752 Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 I note that the link you offer has a large red disclaimer near the top saying that they are not guaranteeing that the services mentioned are legal (which was the OP's request). The law around IPTV varies according to country; in some places (UK) it may be illegal to use it if unlicensed content is offered; in others (US) it is not the users but the providers who will be chased up and prosecuted. Details here. Paul
