How is “video type” determined? (Or, HD and 4K not being identified correctly)

I noticed that the library Filter function doesn’t seem to work. Almost everything, HD and 4K, is incorrectly tagged as SD.

Is this user error on my part, or is this a known Emby limitation? Am I supposed to manually set the video type of my content?

Thanks.

Hi try refreshing metadata on some of your titles and then see if they filter correctly. Thanks.

Thanks. That fixed 99% of it. I refreshed metadata at the library level and that updated almost everything.

The few quirks are two 4K titles that are flagged as HD. It might be because I have both HD and UHD files for the movie in the same folder (using the multiple version filenaming). A couple of other movies done that way get flagged as 4K, and a couple get flagged as HD. That's not a big deal. (Eventually, I hope to upgrade to 4K and remove the duplicate HD files.)
