Nazgulled 11 Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 I recently migrated my Emby server to a different machine (different name, different IP) but for some reason Emby for Kodi still keeps finding the old server (the machine is no longer connected to the network). Is there anyway I can remove this? It doesn't affect anything, it's just a bit annoying, that's all
Angelblue05 4131 Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 Hmm... are you able to open the context menu on the server and delete the entry?
Nazgulled 11 Posted November 7, 2018 Author Posted November 7, 2018 Hmm... are you able to open the context menu on the server and delete the entry? Nope, there's only 2 options "Play from here" and "Add to favourites".
highonascii 43 Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Delete emby.db in appdata/roaming/kodi/userdata/database and also delete plugin.video.emby folder in appdata/roaming/kodi/userdata/addon_data Then try again...
Angelblue05 4131 Posted November 8, 2018 Posted November 8, 2018 Nope, there's only 2 options "Play from here" and "Add to favourites". Ok I will have to check why the option to delete is not showing up in this case. How did you migrate your server? How did you make Kodi access the new server?
Nazgulled 11 Posted November 8, 2018 Author Posted November 8, 2018 Ok I will have to check why the option to delete is not showing up in this case. How did you migrate your server? How did you make Kodi access the new server? I was using SPMC and then just started using Kodi and configured everything from scratch. When I first launched Kodi, both servers (old and new) were displayed to me and I picked the new and configured that... I don't know why the old keeps appearing when it's no longer available in the network.
Solution Angelblue05 4131 Posted November 8, 2018 Solution Posted November 8, 2018 You started from scratch too? The address is saved in data.json inside the addon_data/plugin.video.emby But I'm not sure why it would show an inactive server from a fresh install... 1
Nazgulled 11 Posted November 9, 2018 Author Posted November 9, 2018 I don't know, maybe I'm mixing things up... I started from scratch, yes. But maybe the machine was still on at that point, I really don't remember for sure. Anyway, edited that file and removed the entry with the old server. Problem solved. Thank you for your assistance 1
