Same at my side (internal works, external doesn't work).

At the Server-side it seems to be okay

Download-Manager at Client Side (Android 8.1 (LineageOS 15.1)) says ("Fehler beim Download" - error during download)

The older emby android app was able to download offline media - so it should work.

I could send android log if you tell me where I can find it.

I think, this should be the corresponding timeframe. If you need more logs please let me know.

Dear Luke,

do you need further information or could you detect the reason of this problem?

Thanks a lot

I also have this problem. Main reason I'm responding is that I switched to Emby recently, after using and being frustrated with Plex this year.

I signed up for monthly Emby Premiere the other day, downloaded the app on my phone and spent the rest of the afternoon over-frustrated trying to get one movie synced to my phone. (I set the download to SD Card first thing after signing in.)

Ends up the same as OT, the internal space works fine. This is not going to work very well for me. I just want a few movies on my phone, but not slimmed down versions and therefore they should be on my SD card.

@@Maisy can you please try the version in post #8 and then provide a log from the app? Thanks.

That doesn't work for me either.

Where do I find the logs to show you?

... attached my log files ...

BTW - in the logs I saw some lines, that the permissions for external SD access were not granted, but that is wrong. I granted the permission and double checked it in the app's preferenced - SD card usage is permitted.

The path is also right. (storage/3062-52D4/Android/...)

I also got an Android Message window, asking to permit the access. I permitted it.

Ok so now that you've granted it, you don't see that log message anymore, do you?
