dkr88 0 Posted October 9, 2018 Share Posted October 9, 2018 (edited) Anyone know if it's possible to allow remote access to Emby when the DSM VPN client is connected? Emby seems to have the same behaviour as Plex in that it is listening for remote connections on the VPN interface only... Disconnecting from the VPN allows remote connections to work, but re-connecting to the VPN immediately breaks remote access. Obviously the local network binding is correct as I'm able to access the server from the local LAN even when the DSM VPN client is connected. EDIT: Just to be clear, I do not want to access the server remotely through the VPN, rather I want to access the server remotely via my ISP and NAT port forwarding through my router. For others facing the same issue, running an http proxy (I'm using haproxy on an Alpine Linux VM on the diskstation) in front of the internal Emby port works quite well .
