[[[FIXED]]]

So, ive got the show Bodyguard (2018) and emby scrapes it as Bodyguard Girl (2003)..

if i go to Identify and select the correct show, then i use Refresh Metadata - it still thinks its Bodyguard Girl (2003).

If i open the TVSHOW.xml .nfo and look at the values: IMDB, TMDB are both correct.. But TVDB still scrapes it as Bodyguard Girl.

If i manually edit the xml .nfo file with the correct ID's and refresh the metadata - it overwrites it with the Bodyguard Girl.

Now, heres the really interesting part.. The xml .nfo contains HALF of the correct data - the correct actors, studio, trailer, premiered and release dates, actor poster.

The title, plot, end date are however still incorrect.

Thoughts?

Update: fixed it myself, jsut identified it using the TVDB ID and then selected the result that didnt have a poster.. Because selecting the one called Bodyguard (2018) with the correct poster identifies the show as a different asian tv show about a bodyguard... i dont know what the problem is, but ive rectified it.

I had the same issue with Bite Club on the Food Network. Finally had to lock it and manually update the images. Seems we need a way to disable the online database that get's it wrong.

There are already multiple ways to do this. Why do you feel you "need a way" when it's already there? Have you explored the server library settings? Locking the series will also do that.

Hi, tvshow.xml, or tvshow.nfo? We do not support any tvshow.xml, only nfo. Thanks.

my bad, its an nfo - i just thought it would have been an xml.

Bodyguard changed recently (after the third episode i think) on the providers to Bodyguard (2018)

if you rename your directory to Bodyguard (2018) that should fix the identification

If not change the files names to include the (2018) as well

I have done this and its identified correctly
