I installed the plugin and started the service.

But when I try to connect to http://localhost:8096 it won't work.

This site can’t be reached

localhost refused to connect.

A little help here?

Btw, FreeNAS is under the Linux category. Also, what device are you trying to connect on, is it the same device that is running FreeNAS? If it isn’t, then you’ll need to enter the IP of the machine running FreeNAS instead of localhost.

Confusing because FreeNAS is actually not Linux. It is FreeBSD.

I was able to connect to the Jail that got created, which gave me an ipv4 address.

Thanks for your help!

I'm still trying to install the emby plugin but I'm lost. could somebody hold my hand through this?

I'm on FreeNas 11.2 beta3 and when I install the plugin I get the following error:

'PermissionError' object has no attribute 'strip'

Can you tell us what steps you've done? thanks.

1) I went to the Plugins section of the gui

2) I chose the 'emby' plugin

3) I chose 'Install'

4) I picked 're0' for the interface, set the ipv4 address to 192.168.0.97, set the netmask to 24

5) I saved everything and got the error message: 'PermissionError' object has no attribute 'strip'

Correct but that is community contributed whereas the one I'm linking to is built and tested by the Emby team. Our plan is to take over the Freenas plugin and unify both of them so that they're the same thing, but that hasn't happened yet.

If you go to the FreeNAS shell and type

ifconfig

and then paste the output here, using the <> code tags.

The interface you have doesn't look right.

Interface re0 is the only interface I have.

I am finding that I am unable to create a jail on this system. I've used the wizard to create one manually and it errors out each time.

[Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '/mnt/HDHomeRun/iocage/defaults.json'

I finally just installed a virgin copy of FreeNAS on the server and that fixed the problem. The plugin installed perfectly. I must have borked up the system somehow.

were you able to setup your storage in the jail for media? because i can't without turning off emby and it won't turn back on again..
