It still sounds to me like you have something in front of emby server that is tampering with the requests.

I dont understand how you came to that conclusion? The only devices affected are Android devices, aka phones, fire TV's etc...

Windows direct plays it fine. Chrome Direct plays it fine...

Also I added the server directly by IP address without SSL on the same subnet as the server and still same issue.

As I said earlier, VLC comes up with an error that says "cannot load http:\\blahblahblahlbhal.com/stream/dfblahblahsdfkjshdfjekjhsdjfhsje"

Is it possible that android devices aren't liking the long address that it is popping out?

The following is my logs from my proxy when I click on a video to play it.

Ok so good news is I've figured out the weird error that it couldnt find the location. When clicking the video link it only sends what is after the FQDN and my proxy was losing it's shit because it was like ok what server do I send that string to? I gave it a default of the emby server so thats good but still not sure thats exactly what should be configured that way.... ANYWAY

Still having an issue where it is trying to load up the entire video at once, thats making for some really long load times. I saw 1 other thread about this but didnt really see a good solution on how to fix it.

Are you running an old version of the android mobile app?

I'm on 3.0.1.0.

Also it happens on a fire TV android app also.

Only transcoding will play.

Are you using an old version of the Android app?

Lol sometimes I think you're screwing with me...

Sorry the reason I keep asking if you're on an old version of the app, or old version of android, is because you keep mentioning vlc but our android apps don't use that anymore.

That's weird. The reason Im using vlc is because it gives me an error message when it doesn't work... In app player just silently doesn't work.

Ok so that's an external player? That would have been good information to know earlier. Anyway, can you try using the internal player and then we'll look at that? thanks.

Luke,

When I use the in-app player it would just spin and spin and spin and spin and spin and spin.
