Luke 40064 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Hi, sorry, this is what our users want. How did your added value in the meta tag get there in the first place?
jmariani 21 Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 The problem is, the value in the tag doesn't make sense to me. I just added an album, and the "Date added" is 2014-12-22. What's that? From where you get that date? Also, below the field is the following note: "Configure how date added is determined in the Emby Server dashboard under Library settings" Cannot find that configuration anywhere.
Luke 40064 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Did you explore the advanced tab in the emby server dashboard, under Library?
jmariani 21 Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 My bad. I never saw that. I always believed it was on the "library management" panel... Sorry, please close it! Thank you for your prompt support.
strech 0 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 do i need to some other stuff after changing this to "use date scanned into library"? For me this doesnt have any effects. Its still the file date.

For existing content you'll have to use the metadata editor to edit them.
strech 0 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 (edited) @Luke thanks for your fast replay. There is no added timestamp in the db which can be used ;-)? Ok, then ive to find it out by myself. Edited October 16, 2020 by strech
strech 0 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 maybe it makes more sense to change the default setting to "use date scanned into library" and also to store boath in db.
Luke 40064 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 Hi, well yes storing both would allow changing back and forth at anytime. 2
