jmariani 19 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 (edited) Hi. Every time I restart the server, it doesn't kill the previous instance. I'm on Emby 3.5.2.0 on a Mac Mini running Mojave Beta 5 [uPDATE] it also leaves "Electron helper"s running. Edited August 19, 2018 by jmariani 1
jmariani 19 Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 Ok thanks! It also happens when you just exit the server, but with no Electron helpers. A force kill is necessary.
vangeliis 8 Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Hi. Every time I restart the server, it doesn't kill the previous instance. I'm on Emby 3.5.2.0 on a Mac Mini running Mojave Beta 5 [uPDATE] it also leaves "Electron helper"s running. Hi @@jmariani, Please see if the workaround below works for you: Open a terminal window and run the following command (assuming you have copied EmbyServer.app into your Applications folder) : /Applications/EmbyServer.app/Contents/MacOS/EmbyServer Leave the terminal window open. To quit Emby go to the open terminal window and hit ctrl-c. Don't be tempted to quit Emby from the menu bar icon as this does not work correctly at the moment.
sfatula 189 Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 When running emby-server from a terminal, and, using shutdown from the emby server Dashboard, you do still have to hit ctrl-c, but, the messages displayed on the screen in the terminal windows are hopeful at least that you won't corrupt, since they end with: Info Main: Releasing mutex Info Main: Mutex released Info Main: Shutdown complete FWIW
