teddybear75 11
Can you try this version and see how it compares? https://www.dropbox.com/s/9am2hgfcj403j8d/MediaBrowser.Mobile-googlearmv7-release.apk?dl=0 Thanks. Tried the 15.january update from play store, still a bit choppy on direct play, but seems somewhat better than before (my subjective opinion). The dropbox version you posted is still flawless, so im using that for now Edited January 23, 2019 by teddybear75
Luke 37064
The problem is if i disable hardware acceleration to possibly solve it for you, i'm just worried about potentially making it worse for others. That's even if i limit the change huawei.
teddybear75 11
That i can understand. Too bad though, as i would asume it affects quite a few Huawei users? Emby for android with external player could be an option if one wants to stay updated with the latest releases.... Luke 37064
I guess for the next release we can try disabling h264 hardware acceleration for this manufacturer. Thanks.

neik 837
I guess for the next release we can try disabling h264 hardware acceleration for this manufacturer. Thanks. Just wondering, doesn't deactivate hw acceleration cause higher power consumption as it is CPU decoded and thus lower battery time?
Luke 37064
That's the only answer i have right now as there's something going on specific to this manufacturer and we don't know exactly what it is yet.
Coxeroni 26
What is the status of this? Do we have to use this modified version posted on this thread somewhere? What about adding an optional switch for hardware acceleration, the "Huawei switch" Edited February 26, 2019 by Coxeroni

Coxeroni 26
Any news how this continues? I sense it is not top priority at the moment (which is ok). Will it make its way into the regular version or do I need to postpone play store updates for emby from now on?
