TV Show Theme Tunes included in Music Library

Hi,

An annoying one this....

For some reason Emby downloads the TV Show theme songs (can't see anywhere to disable this, just stop playing via the web UI). What I don't understand is that the theme songs for TV shows are appearing in my music library so occasionally it'll play 30 seconds of some awful programme my wife watches (e.g. real housewives of New York etc!).

My music library and my tv show library are in completely separate folders (first thing I checked) so I can't see why any theme songs downloaded would make it into my music library too. When I go to recently added music albums, loads of theme songs appear there.

Either removing the theme songs from appearing in my music library or better yet, turning off theme songs from downloading will suffice! :)

Thanks in advance,

Kurosh

Hi.  Emby doesn't download any theme songs.  You have something else that is doing that and may be putting them within your music library.

If you'd like to stop them from playing, all Emby apps have settings to control this. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

Hi,

Thanks for clarifying... though I'm still none the wiser...

When I go to the theme songs in my music library, via the information context menu I can see they're all called "stream.mp3" though when I search my whole hard drive I cannot find any files called "stream.mp3", never mind just my music library folders.

This leads me to believe they're not downloaded but in fact streamed as and when they're requested, though...

...I've no idea when/where that would be other than using the Emby app / Web UI

...Why on earth they're appearing in my Emby music library?

Any ideas? Kodi addon / Skin / other?

Probably because of the way you've configured emby library setup. Can you show a screenshot of that? Thanks.
