WW_Emby 2 Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 My Emby server is setup on an UNRAID server with the Emby created docker. It constantly loses the thumbnail images in the Next Up category. I can re-add them and in a day they are gone. It would appear these are not saved with the media on the server as are other images? What do I need to do to correct this issue, it has become quite annoying Thanks... Will
Luke 38553 Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Hi, have you enabled saving artwork to media folders?
WW_Emby 2 Posted June 28, 2018 Author Posted June 28, 2018 Yes that setting is intact.. little more info (though I'm sure this is obvious to you pro's): It looks like the Landscape.jpg file is the one the "Next Up" section is using. Those file are intact on the HDD for the ones not displaying, but Emby just keeps dropping them apparently. So I assume at this point a re-scan of the library is in order; that would repair the db that holds the images for the server app? Or am I way off base? Thanks...
Luke 38553 Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I would suggest running a library scan, and if the issue persists please attach the emby server log. You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/790-how-to-report-a-problem/?view=getnewpost Thanks !
WW_Emby 2 Posted July 2, 2018 Author Posted July 2, 2018 (edited) OK the Library Scan did not work so I am attaching the server log, it's VERY long, let me know what you find. Thanks... hope you had a good weekend!!! Will EmbyServerLOG.pdf Edited July 2, 2018 by anwwashburn
Luke 38553 Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 Where are the images located? are they in your series folders? did you verify that?
WW_Emby 2 Posted July 2, 2018 Author Posted July 2, 2018 Yes I have verified that the JPG image file are in the series folders, see image below: ISSUE LOCATION OF FILES (1st missing image above)
Luke 38553 Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 ok that's very strange. can you try clearing browsing data and see if that helps? thanks.
WW_Emby 2 Posted July 2, 2018 Author Posted July 2, 2018 Yes I did for Chrome, Edge and IE, same issue happens afterwards in all 3. Yes I agree it is odd...
Luke 38553 Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 can you try deleting the server's image cache? /config/cache/images Thanks.
WW_Emby 2 Posted July 3, 2018 Author Posted July 3, 2018 Since Emby is in a Docker container on unRaid I assume you mean this path is relative to that Emby Docker... that being the case I see the path is actually ../EmbyServer/cache/images and it has 2 directories in it. Just want to verify these are what you wish to delete, 2nd to last line in pic below (the Config folder in EmbyServer has no cache/images path, just a dlna and users folder):
Happy2Play 9081 Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Yes it is the cache\image folder with enhanced and resized images.
Luke 38553 Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 I determined the location to your cache folder based on the log, but it is also displayed on the front page of the emby server dashboard, in case that helps.
WW_Emby 2 Posted July 3, 2018 Author Posted July 3, 2018 OK - 2nd question, should I stop the server before doing this or does it matter, any thing to do after or just wait till it rebuilds the cache?
Luke 38553 Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 It doesn't matter. You can leave the server running.
WW_Emby 2 Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Delete completed last night and checked the server console/app again this morning - no help... Have a good 4th of July everyone
WW_Emby 2 Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 As of about midnight Wednesday the issue seems to have resolved itself.
