Healthed 0 Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 I have Emby on a nuc that is headless (no monitor). Ubuntu 18 Bionic Is there (or where is) the linux config file to tell Emby Server the paths to folders I want Emby to serve. do I need to share out these folders first, since it is on the same disk partition as Emby? I'd prefer not to have to share them, since they are are the same box, but if there is a reason to do it (besides not being able to find the Emby config file), I will. Thanks.
Luke 40086 Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Hi, this isn't going to be easily done and is not documented. I would use a another device to open a web browser to http://ipaddress:8096 Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
Healthed 0 Posted June 13, 2018 Author Posted June 13, 2018 Not a problem as I have that already. I guess I need documentation on how to tell Emby server on the Nuc, that it needs to serve media directories on itself.
mastrmind11 722 Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Pretty odd request since you can just browse to your Emby server's landing page. However, if you insist: https://www.2daygeek.com/best-text-mode-based-command-line-web-browser-for-linux/#
tdiguy 97 Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 is it not possible to connect to it via ip:8096 to use the normal gui to configure emby and the libraries?
