Afternoon,

Have a few issues with this plugin

It only seems to be working if I set to 1 the "Create BoxSets only if I have at least this many of its movies:" option

But then I have all sets available even if I only have 1 movie

I tried several times to delete the collections folder (can't find the XML file though) but I always have the same issue (nothing happens unless I change this figure to 1)

Hi.  Can you please be sure your server is set to debug logging (may need to restart after changing that setting) then change the setting in the plug-in back to what you want it to be, run an auto box sets refresh and then post the server log.

Thanks.

Here is the log file

I deleted the collection folder at 15:40

one set was automatically created

Have launched a refresh box sets at 15:41 with a minimum of 3 movies

And still only that initial set of movies is available

If I would run it on 1 movie required, I would get about 150 sets

Hi.  Did you forget to attach the log?

Hi.  It looks like you forgot to turn on Debug logging in the server...

Did you also check that all of your movies have a TmdbCollectionId value? You can do this in the metadata editor. This is what the Autoboxsets plugin uses to identify what to create.

@@ebr I really thought it was done.

Anyway, while I was setting up the debug logging and refresh box sets (3+ movies)

And it worked :)

Not sure what was the issue, could there be some latency because of a scan in progress?

Yes, because perhaps not all of your movies had the proper tmdb IDs yet...

Hello everyone,

I have another issue with this plugin.

I installed the plugin and activated the "Group movies into collections" option in the library settings as well. And all worked fine so far. Then I changed the plugin setting for minimum amount of movies to be grouped to 1 which worked as well. But now I have the problem that after changing it back to "2" all single movie group sets are still shown. No matter what I configure or change. I already deleted the plugin and reinstalled it, deselected the library group setting again, rebooted the server several times... I just can't get back to only have group sets with at least 2 movies shown again.

Anyone there to help out? I guess this can be very easily reproduced ;)

Thanks

Stefan

Have you deleted the collections created in "\Emby-Server\programdata\data\collections"?

Location may vary slightly depending on your install.

I did it from the web gui - isn't that enough?

No because that is where the collections metadata is stored.  I believe that library will just regenerate itself over time.  The grouping is done from the database and all the information is still there when you remove the plugin or remove the library.  So you need to remove the existing metadata in that collection folder.

Should there be a "Remove" option for the Collection library as it is a required location for collections?

Seems to have worked, after deleting the files emby didn't look for group sets.

But after scanning the movie library (instead of the group library) and with a reboot it now worked well.

Thank you!

Well I'm not sure. I suppose it is a quick way to remove all boxsets, but it will come back the next time you create a collection.

Sorry no, they all had a collection ID

And it was working when set to 1 movie only

Did you check that the movies of each boxset had the same collection id?  maybe they had different ones and that's why you didn't get any boxsets created when you set the minimum to 2.

My guess would be the plugin doesn't read that tag.

I know my xmls contain <CollectionNumber> and <TMDbCollectionId>.

Emby creates <CollectionNumber> in nfo for collectionid.

We support two different places:

<TmdbCollection>

Or

<set tmdbcolid="xxx">

I have about 500 movies, I use Ember Media Manager to search the information and place them inside the NFO. The movie folder looks like this:

and NFO:

Everything works fine, just the collection that does not.

I'll change the tag generated by Ember Media Managar (<tmdbcolid> 131295 </ tmdbcolid> by example),

by

<set tmdbcolid = "xxx">

or

<TmdbCollection>

When editing the metadata, I saw Emby read the <tmdbcolid> tag.

But the collections do not appear in the tab "collections".

If edit info is seeing the collectionid then you should be good.

What happens if you open the plugin and Refresh Boxsets?
