Hi,

I opened also i ticket in GitHub: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby/issues/3259

Emby Server Verrsion: 3.4.1.0

Emby Player: 1.2.0 & 1.1.0

Apple TV tvOS version: Apple TV 4 & 4K - tvOS 11.3

When i try to watch a video (TV show or Movie) and i check that the correct subtitles file is selected, the subtitles doesn't appear in the video when played.

Also, the subtitle menu isn't appear during the play (only Info & Audio).

The Subtitle is external and use the same name of the video, i checked that the correct subtitles file is marked before playing and i activated the Closed Caption in Apple settings.

Please see attached screeshots:

Hi.  There should have also been an ffmpeg log.  Can we please see that?

I'm not sure.  The app is requesting it properly.

Is this problem isolated to this one item/subtitle?  Do others work?

I don't think that it has anything to do with type of the video file, the mkv files works just fine in Plex & Infuse.

This is external subtitles and not embedded in the mkv.

not with Emby, known bug, as I have said I have reported few weeks back, but @@corey @@ebr can't seem to fix it. Only embedded subtitle work for Forced in MP4.

We're working on a new video player for the app so it might just be best to re-evaluate with that once we have it up for testing.

I would wait if I could but I have quite a few shows that requires forced subs, and I did not want to put pressure on you, so I'm just remuxing my stuff as it works.

but it might be an option for @@iBuSH

It worked fine a few months ago, don't know what happened.

Anyway, right now i'm using Ple & Infuse... I'l wait for a fix, but i didn't saw the new player in Apple TV beta.

I believe I have an issue which is very similar:.

My Apple TV does not provide the menu for "Select Audio or Subtitles", but this issue appears only when the library type is "Music videos". Other library types work fine (Movies, TV Shows, Mixed content).

If you need something from my server to help troubleshoot just let me know.
