GothsterC 47 Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 With the multiple versions feature you get a pulldown in the web client to select the version. When you do, the other pulldowns for audio tracks and subtitles also change for that version. However the duration and the Ends At display remain the same even though the versions have different durations. Would it be possible to have those two fields in the display change with the chosen version? Thanks. 16
GothsterC 47 Posted May 20, 2019 Author Posted May 20, 2019 Hello, I'm still very interested about this potential feature. Thanks. 1
Luke 39386 Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Haven't had a chance to look at this but I agree it makes sense. Thanks.
GothsterC 47 Posted March 29, 2020 Author Posted March 29, 2020 Just requesting this again. I would really like to see this feature. Thanks. 1
sambarlick 14 Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 This would be great, especially for those movies where the length is significantly different. I've noticed this affects the ability to resume the longer version if the server reports the length as the shorter version. 3
GothsterC 47 Posted February 17, 2021 Author Posted February 17, 2021 Just my annual bump for this. Thanks 1
dml33 24 Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 (edited) Hi. I wouldn't think this as a new feature to be requested, but a good way to properly complete the multi-version functionality, so everything makes sense when a given version is selected: duration, audio, subtitles... I hope developers agree with this. Meanwhile, I will go on looking forward to it. Thanks!! Edited April 3, 2021 by dml33 1
Luke 39386 Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Hi, yes it's something that can be improved. Thanks for the feedback.
MBSki 1097 Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 When using .disc files, some of my movies aren't showing the duration. I've got a 720p mp4 for the movie and a .disc file for the reference to the movie below on Disney+. But, the duration of the movie from the mp4 doesn't show up. It appears that if the .disc file is scanned by Emby first, then there's no way to populate the duration. However, it does seem that the Android TV app will change the duration based on which selection is made. The web app doesn't change duration. Can this be fixed on ALL apps? @cayars I already moved the .disc files out of my library, re-scanned, put them back and scanned again. So, everything is working now. I'll have to remember to scan everything with the real file first next time before adding the stub file. Ideally this would be fixed though so I didn't have to worry about which file was getting scanned first.
Carlo 4535 Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Wasn't this in another thread? Pretty sure I mentioned a couple things to try.
MBSki 1097 Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Yes. In the other thread I said I would open a new thread. Yes you did and that's what the @mention is for. I can't try those things because I did something else to fix it for now. It's only a temporary fix though.
Happy2Play 9307 Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 Yes since the UI does not change when you select or a version is selected for you, so the metadata for the first item imported is used for the UI. 1
MBSki 1097 Posted October 3, 2021 Posted October 3, 2021 @Luke Any progress on this? It's fixed in the Android TV app. Just need the other apps fixed too.

Luke 39386 Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 Not yet but it's something that can be looked at in future updates. Thanks.
GothsterC 47 Posted February 24, 2022 Author Posted February 24, 2022 Just my annual bump for this. Thanks 3
Bigmack3000 94 Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 This, and being able to choose individual parts, for multi part videos, would be amazing.
Obsidian21 1 Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Just chiming in, seeing this same issue persist on the FireTV app. @Lukeis this feature live or is it still something that needs to be looked at?

When playing certain media, the screen is black, UI is not visible, but the sound plays. This can only be fixed by backing out of the content back to the media's main page. Interestingly the media works perfectly fine in Plex. Edited June 25, 2024 by Obsidian21

Please create a new topic in the proper forum with appropriate details. How to Report a Problem Thanks.
