unibeta 7
I still have a problem with the metadata on TV shows. In all folder. xml and all. nfo files was by default: <LockData>false</LockData>Nevertheless, each new file is correctly detected and displayed in the metadata manager but locked immediately after scanning. No nfo file is created.(I add only one single mkv file, everything else should be created by Emby)Then I manually unlock each time and have the metadata updated. Then nfo and jpg are created correctly and the next file has to be unlocked manually, which is of course very tedious. This does not occur in my film library, only in the tv-show library.I was able to find older posts with this error but also there was no solution.Anybody know what to do? Luke 37251
There's got to be a parent folder somewhere up the tree that has been locked.
unibeta 7
Thanks for the feedback.I just locked and unlocked the complete media directory in the metadata manager.Unfortunately, it remains so.It's all unlocked and newly added files are instantly locked during the first scan. But only in the TV-Show directory, in my Movie Directory it works fine.
Luke 37251
Didn't you have a topic about this before? I thought we got to the bottom of it.
unibeta 7
Yes, but the headline was not good, I hope with a new attempt for a solution.Currently I have to manually unlock new epiosodes every time...
Luke 37251
First we need to find your old topic so that we don't have to investigate all of this from scratch again.
unibeta 7
My first contribution to this problem was in the German language section.I hope for more readers in the English part. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/49925-serien-gro%C3%9Fteils-keine-episoden-titeltexte/ My question is, which mechanism in the media scan decides which parameters are used to lock the new files? Luke 37251
It checks the parent folders to see if any of those are locked. Also if you have a pre-existing nfo file, it checks that as well.
Happy2Play 8356
How about a screenshot of Metadata Manager. But if you are unlocking top level in Metadata Manager then you should not have any issues unless you have a permissions problem somewhere. unibeta 7
To be on the safe side I searched all nfo-files for the string "<lockdata>true" but no nfo-files were found.A rights issue is eliminated because the movie section runs fine and has the same rights and the metadata manager adds images and nfo's after unlocking without any problems. If no one can find who has ever had this before and solved it,for new files the metadata manager is my friend......... unibeta 7
After the current update to 3.4.0.0I was hoping to get my problem solved now.The change log said:Move metadata saver settings to per libraryMove metadata reader settings to per libraryI locked the whole series directory again in the metadata manager and then released it again. Now I create a new folder and re-scan the library, this folder is immediately locked again. This does not happen in my film database, here I can create new films.into it, nothing is automatically locked there.Where does the media scan for the database get the information from that new is to be saved? Solution Luke 37251 Posted May 3, 2018 Solution Share Posted May 3, 2018 Could you try setting up a new TV library and see if it happens in that library? Thanks.
