mchahn 20 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 I'm getting "Playback Error: No compatible streams are currently available. " when trying to view an old (20 years ago?) home movie. It was created by the app Nero. I am trying on the Chrome web browser. I've attached the relevant part of the log. Note the execution errors. This is from mediainfo on the file ... Luke 38994 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Hi there, can you please attach the complete emby server log? thanks !
mchahn 20 Posted February 3, 2018 Author Posted February 3, 2018 It's 100 megs. How do I make a small log?
Luke 38994 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Ok then please just take a chunk out from the beginning because i'd like to see the startup sequences. And you're saying other videos are fine?
mchahn 20 Posted February 3, 2018 Author Posted February 3, 2018 I've enclosed the first 1000 lines of the same log file. log2.txt
mchahn 20 Posted February 3, 2018 Author Posted February 3, 2018 New files, mostly mkv of h264, show fine.
Luke 38994 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 New files, mostly mkv of h264, show fine. Including ones that need transcoding, these are fine?
mchahn 20 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Transcoded files play fine. I just checked by setting playback to 1 mbs and seeing low quality. I have a new issue that is truly weird. I can't show jpeg files. The images are just black. I've enclosed the log. I've double checked that the files show fine elsewhere. server-63653275056.txt
Solution Luke 38994 Posted February 4, 2018 Solution Posted February 4, 2018 For the video, I guess I would need a copy to test it otherwise you may just want to re-encode it to mp4. For the photos, looks like emby server is unable to access them: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/mnt/media/home/2008 xmas-small/small-036.jpg' is denied. ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied 1
mchahn 20 Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Changing permissions fixed both the video and jpegs. So I have to manually change permissions every time I add something to the library?
Luke 38994 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 No you should be able to handle it from a folder level recursively.
