AllanMarcus 3
Hello. I've installed Emby and imported my tv, movie, and music libraries. I use Kodi and Plex, and both sync to Trakt.tv. I've verified that shows and movies in Trakt.tv are marked as watched. When I sync with the Emby Trakt plugin, it connects, but doesn't make anything as watched. Note: trakt debugging was on for the run with the log file below. Log file attached. Any ideas? Thanks. emby_log.txt Edited January 25, 2018 by AllanMarcus

I would be happy to. When a movie or episode is marked watched on Trakt, after the sync that movie or episode should be marked watched in Emby. This is how it works for the Kodi and Plex plug in. For example, I use Plex and watch a show. The plex trakt plug in marks the show watched on trakt. Then when the Emby trakt plugin syncs, that episode should be marked watched in Emby. In my current situation, I just started with Emby. I assumed I could just sync (pull) from Track.tv and it would mark watched all the stuff that is watched in Track.tv. Angelblue05 4130
Can you confirm your content is correctly identified in Emby? That they have the proper imdb/tvdb/tmdb id assigned? I'll test on my side and let you know if I'm able to reproduce this. Luke doesn't have trakt so it's harder for him to confirm there is an issue. I don't mind helping out. paulsalter 84
I use Trakt quite a bit and just tested Marked something watched on the website, when running the Import Playstates from Trakt, this item is marked as watched in Emby One thing i notice in the above screenshot, I have the update watched history on trakt ticked Cant remember what the default is for this, so the description 'By default', could vary depending on the default state of this tick box
Angelblue05 4130
It's working for me. For some reason, I had issues with the plugin not being authorized to access my trakt account. I'll test on my side and let you know if I'm able to reproduce this. Luke doesn't have trakt so it's harder for him to confirm there is an issue. I don't mind helping out. I spot checked a few, and they look like they are identified correctly. Shows and Movies are all still marked unwatched. Update Watched history looks like it set trakt to the state from Emby. I do't want that. That would set everything as unwatched in trakt, I think. It's working for me. For some reason, I had issues with the plugin not being authorized to access my trakt account. So I set up another pin and now it works. @@AllanMarcus When you run the task, do you see errors in your server log? How long is the sync? If I put an incorrect code in, it fails. If I put a correct code in, it takes less than 30 seconds. See attached log above. It would be REALLY helpful if the description of the option said : When on, this does this, when Off, it does that. Using the term "default" is pretty useless Thanks for all the help. I'm hopeful this will be figured out.

Angelblue05 4130
@@AllanMarcus I know it sounds a bit crazy but with your log, it can clearly see trakt watched status. Are you certain the trakt task isn't working? Maybe you are logged on the wrong user vs where Trakt is syncing the watched status to? I know the user name dropdown is buggy in the plugin settings. It always resets to the first user in the list after hitting save (even if it shows the correct user info elsewhere). Can you make sure the credentials of Trakt are assigned to the right user? AllanMarcus 3
I only have one user profile, and it's the same user, but.... Good lord, it's working now. I don't get it. I really don't understand why it's working now. When I say "it's working now", I mean nothing has changed, but all my watched shows are marked as watched now. They were no before. I can only surmise that some action was talking place in the background. Some action that doesn't get logged, and it just took time to complete. Well, mark this one closed and solved by sun spots.

MatsF 0
I have the exact same problem. I have just installed Emby Server and one of the first things I wanted to do is to sync the watch state from Trakt.tv to Emby, because everything is unwatched in Emby right now. I have checked and all the tvdb/imdb ids are in the movies and in the shows (don´t know how to check the episodes but they are there with the right Season/episode information. I have tried using different browsers, Edge and Chrome. I have tried to restart the server. I change and save the settings at the right user with Trakt settings in Emby. The Authentication PIN is not there the second time I go in to Trakt settings in Emby, but that may be by design..
