McMoneysack 0
Hi, I have still Problems bring Trailer to work in Kodi 18.2. I`ve used only local Trailers which would be work fine and are add in library. If I start a Movie on my Webbrowser using Emby Dashboard, two Trailers are played, then the Movie. But in Kodi, got no chance. Only Movie would played. My Install: Emby on a Diskstation Server Version: 4.1.1.01 Client is Nvidia Shield with Kodi 18.2 last Build and emby for Kodi Addon (last Update) Paths are correct, also configuration in Server Dashboard. Trailer PlugIn is not installed because local Trailers. Thank for your help. Best Mc

As the title say, I cannot seem to get pre-movie trailers to play when enabling cinema mode. As far as I can tell I have everything set up correctly. The only thing I notice is that for the trailers, I did not get a trailer library auto generated. I seem to remember a long time ago when playing with the trailer plugin a library being created?? I could be remembering something different. Screen shots of my configuration and log attached. Thanks This is resolved in the upcoming 4.2 release. Thanks. Yagotta B. Kiddin 1
Some feedback from me. So, im still running version 4.1.0.26 of emby server (unraid docker, offical emby repo) , cinema mode & trailer plugins have auto-updated to 1.0.14.0 & 1.2.2.0 respectively and Cinema mode appears to be improved. Trailers are playing, custom intros are playing but codec intos are not. All tested using web app, andoid app and kodi app. One thing in Kodi is that I have to select a source for each trailer, just get some arbitrary hex codes to select from. ^^^ I've noticed the same thing when using Kodi clients on PC, Xbox One X and NVIDIA SHIELD (haven't tried it on Amazon Fire TV 4K yet. I'm thinking the problem with this is in the Kodi for Emby add-on however (also occurred with EmbyCon, but I rarely use that route to get to my media). My Emby server is hosted on real-iron Windows 2012 R2 server though (unRAID is *schweet*! I need to throw more real-iron at my unRAID box so it can do the honors as the Emby docker and then decommission the current hardware!) The problem with the random identifier (looks like part of a UUID) doesn't occur with the web-client for Emby nor the Emby Theater client, which also points to the display issue being between Kodi and Emby via the Kodi for Emby add-on. Will try to get screen shots and post this over in the Emby for Kodi add-on thread. Cinema mode with the trailers (same versions as above) works well, except for the weird UUID "pick a trailer source" dialog that pops up (2X, as I have it set for 2 trailers before the main movie is played. Not set for TV shows).
hstamas 153
Here you go @@Luke. Screen shots showing that everything is enabled and log attached. Just an FYI update @@Luke. Reverting back from the Mac server beta to the stable release fixed my Cinema Mode issues. Internet trailers and Codec Intros now work.
horstepipe 356
@@Luke just a short question:Emby stores trailer urls like this to .nfo files from movies in my database (coming from themoviedb): <trailer>plugin://plugin.video.youtube/?action=play_video&videoid=NJQ4qEWm9lU</trailer> Why can't those be utilized for Cinema mode? There is the option to set include trailers from movies in my library so couldn't you also make this use the youtube trailers stored in .nfo file? Luke 37009
We do, but we don't those trailer nodes, we only write them for Kodi. Those plugin urls are kodi specific.
horstepipe 356
We do, but we don't those trailer nodes, we only write them for Kodi. Those plugin urls are kodi specific. please clarify, what means "we don't those trailer nodes". And how do you "do" it, as from my testings you don't :-) So I have installed Cinema mode, see my settings here: I do NOT have installed the trailers plugin, because Emby populates trailer links anyway as you can see here: But I'm getting NO trailers when I start up a movie. Why? sidenote: Why can't we edit the trailer links in the "edit metadata" field? Edited September 20, 2019 by horstepipe

horstepipe 356
Emby doesn't read those nodes. If emby doesn't read those nodes, where does the trailer button come from provided in my second screenshot?

Luke 37009
YouTube trailers are not used with Cinema intros because not all apps are able to play from YouTube.
ProXy 11
Hello I am still struggling with the trailer feature on Emby Server 4.2.1. First of all: What is the trailers plugin? There is a plugin called 'Cinema Intros' which is currently installed and there is a 'Trailers' Plguin that is available to be installed. Cinema mode is configured as shown here: http://prntscr.com/pi0hsw I also rescanned my media library and ensured that the client also has the feature enabled. But when starting to play a movie the movie starts immediately without any trailers. Thank you. Edit: Ok I am still confused about both plugins, but I got it working. It seems that the Trailers plugin is needed to get trailers and watch them in the trailers channel, while the Cinema Intros Plugin enables the feature to show those trailers before starting the playback...
