How does one change the password of other users using an admin account?

Hi,

I've been trying, and failing, to change the password of a user on my server via my admin account. As far as I know this should be possible, but every time I try it ssays that the username/password is wrong.

I assume this means the "old password", but it is not a reasonable assumption that I should know the password of other users when they can set these up themselves, also it does not work with my passsword, I've checked.

Good day,

Did you tried first to "reset password" then create new one for them.

Hi,

Well I, embarrassingly enough, did not notice the button until after posting. It did resolve the situation.

But still, why does I as the admin, need their original password to simply change instead of reseting?

It's something we can review for the future. In the meantime you'll need to enter the original password. thanks.
