Pico-tan 0 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Hi, I've been trying, and failing, to change the password of a user on my server via my admin account. As far as I know this should be possible, but every time I try it ssays that the username/password is wrong. I assume this means the "old password", but it is not a reasonable assumption that I should know the password of other users when they can set these up themselves, also it does not work with my passsword, I've checked.
Abobader 3307 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Good day, Did you tried first to "reset password" then create new one for them. My best
Pico-tan 0 Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 Hi, Well I, embarrassingly enough, did not notice the button until after posting. It did resolve the situation. But still, why does I as the admin, need their original password to simply change instead of reseting?
Luke 39620 Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 It's something we can review for the future. In the meantime you'll need to enter the original password. thanks.
