Remove old .nfo files?

Is it possible to have Emby remove old outdated .nfo files whenever a file is updated?

 

If I'm updating my library with new video formats, or update the naming structure of my video files, I have noticed that Emby leaves the old .nfo file while adding a new one. I know it's a minor thing, but I would like to keep my directories tidy and not have any additional, unnecessary files laying about.

I second that notion.

 

However, i noticed that sometimes the old .nfo files are removed - but that's not always the case.

 

Does anyone know why?

hi @@theodore1948, Emby never removes nfo files, unless you use the delete media function. The only thing it will do is create or overwrite. Does this answer your question?
