falalalala 0
Environment Details macOS 10.13.1 Emby Server 3.2.40.0 All metadata is embedded in the files. External/scraped metadata cannot be used. Background I'm trying to leave Plex and am generally pretty happy with Emby, but I can't figure this one out and it's somewhat significant to the browsing experience (for me, at least). Plex was able to extract all embedded metadata and display it, but Emby is missing or mixing up a few fields. Specific Issues Embedded "directors", "producers" and "screenwriters" metadata is extracted and appears in the movie listing Embedded "cast" metadata is not extracted at all Emby uses the embedded "copyright" metadata to populate the "studio" field, instead of using the embedded "studio" metadata I've attached an example of the metadata from one movie exported with ffmpeg and screenshots of what's showing in Emby. Any suggestions appreciated. Amadeus (Director's Cut) (HD).txt
Luke 37029
hi there, can you provide a sample video for testing? thanks !
falalalala 0
Thanks, I've attached an example file here that presents the issue. It's not the actual movie but I've kept the same metadata from above for consistency. EmbyEmbeddedMetadataTest.zip
Luke 37029
Thanks. #2 and #3 are resolved for the next release. What exactly is an issue about #1? Thanks.
falalalala 0
That's great, thank you #1 is not a problem at all, sorry. That was meant to be additional context for #2 since it involved the "People" feature and I thought it might be relevant. I shouldn't have numbered it as its own issue.
