l45er 0 Posted July 26, 2017 Share Posted July 26, 2017 I'm also interested in this. I have Xpenology DS916+ loader 1.02b running DSM 6.1.3-15152 Update 1 on a Pentium G4560 (Kaby Lake). I've got the standard Emby package (https://synology.emby.media/) installed and running but VA API doesn't appear to work and there is no /dev/dri folder present. Happy to run commands/tests if anyone has any ideas as to how to get the hardware transcoding working. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RobsterUK 22 Posted August 3, 2017 Share Posted August 3, 2017 I've just been reading up about this over at the Xpenology forums & remembered about this thread. @@l45er realised you've posted on Xpeno forum too. For anyone else interested this is the thread. Until the hardware is supported under the Xpeno builds, Emby will not be able to take advantage of the capabilities.
