Problems with playback from local .m3u8 file

Last few days I've been having problems with channels randomly not loading (get only spinning circle) from local .m3u8 file playlist. I also use a .m3u8 link from a different provider which works perfectly so the problem seems to be related to the local m3u file. The channels work perfectly when loading them from my local m3u file on VLC. On Emby the channels from the local playlist sometimes load and sometimes don't there doesn't appear to be a pattern. Sometimes I try to load a channel, it doesn't load, I exit and try to load it again and it loads successfully. These problems have only been happening the last 2 or 3 days before that I think it was working perfectly. 

 

Separate issue I have is I change the channel sort titles in metadata manager but they always get reset is there a way to save the sort titles?
