jdemby 0 Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Title pretty much says it all. If I select to sync an album it works fine till it hits a track that has an & in the filename, then it hangs for a long time on that and tries to resume the entire sync job till it hits the file again entering a endless loop. Info: Android version: 5.1 (also occurs on 7.1) App version: 2.9.07 Server: FreeBSD 11.0-RELEASE Server Version: 3.2.19 Emby log included emby-log.txt
jdemby 0 Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 (edited) Nobody knows what this is? It shouldn't make and difference.. but it does. Here are some of my ideas off the top of my head: Host uses an Apache reverse proxy, Apache is set to simply ProxyPass / https://**embyip**:8920/ ProxyPassReverse / https://**embyip**:8920/ (however the device seems to be contacting the emby server directly in the logs apache reports no errors, this is done for lets encrypt cert) Shell variable not quoted properly? (FreeBSD uses csh/sh not bash like linux) File system path too long for FreeBSD? (max 88, this seems unlikely to me) ffmpeg chokes on the file in some way? I could just replace the file names in my library.. but that seems like a sloppy solution to me.. Edited June 11, 2017 by jdemby
Luke 39306 Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 Hi, we will respond. Thank you for your patience.
Luke 39306 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 hi @@jdemby, have you set a custom download path in the app, or have you left it blank (default) ? Thanks.
Luke 39306 Posted June 16, 2017 Posted June 16, 2017 @@jdemby, please try 2.9.11 on the open beta: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/24350-android-open-beta-testing/ I am not able to reproduce this anymore. Please let me know if this helps. Thanks !
jdemby 0 Posted June 16, 2017 Author Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) Thanks Luke, I will try it. And yes it had storage set to a SD card. I will test both and get back to you shortly. Edit: Worked perfectly on 7.1 with default storage, going to try SD on 5.1 Works on 5.1 writing to SD card as well, it converts the char to _ but thats ok. Well done Emby team.
