Wacind 1
Hey Krusty/LukeHere is my setup:ServerWMC version 1.0.0.62 build 1247(enabled http host service and checked the 'use URLs' feature in serverWMC, not sure if i have to do anything with EMBY here)Client running Windows10 Emby Home Theater on a different network (its using directstreasm)Every few mins when watching liveTV, the client just stops playingand here is the error log: frame=33034 fps= 30 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:18:23.88 bitrate=N/A speed= 1x frame=33064 fps= 30 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:18:24.88 bitrate=N/A speed= 1x frame=33079 fps= 30 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:18:25.38 bitrate=N/A speed= 1x frame=33108 fps= 30 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:18:26.35 bitrate=N/A speed= 1x [segment @ 0000000002e01fe0] Timestamps are unset in a packet for stream 0. krustyreturns 191
Do you know if these are h264 streams? If so, try the workaround discussed in this post and let me know if it makes a difference: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/46592-live-tv-out-of-sync-video-running-double-time/?p=444858
Wacind 1
Hi Krusty. Thanks for the reply. I tried to make the change you suggested. How do I check if these are h264 streams? I know they are on HD channels if that helps.. Either way I did set <GenerateDTS_h264>false</GenerateDTS_h264> But i am still having the same issue. This is from a few minutes ago: frame=18670 fps= 30 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:10:24.10 bitrate=N/A speed=1.01x frame=18692 fps= 30 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:10:24.83 bitrate=N/A speed=1.01x frame=18715 fps= 30 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:10:25.60 bitrate=N/A speed=1.01x frame=18725 fps= 30 q=-1.0 size=N/A time=00:10:25.93 bitrate=N/A speed=1.01x [segment @ 00000000005974a0] Timestamps are unset in a packet for stream 0. krustyreturns 191
Did you save and restart swmc after you made that change (sorry I forgot to mention that earlier)? If you post the swmc log (see debug tab) after trying to play a live stream, I can tell you what stream type it is, also I see can try and see if there is an issue with the configuration. Wacind 1
Hey Krusty. Thanks again for all your help. Just to make sure, I reset ServerWMC, (deleted the C:\ProgramData\VDSoftware\ServerWMC folder and re-installed the Preview version of ServerWMC and set the GenerateDTS_h264 setting to false) I also uninstalled, deleted settings files and did a fresh install of the Emby Server and Clients. I rebooted the server and clients and made sure that the GenerateDTS_h264 was still false. I've attached the ServerWMC logs, Emby Server Logs and Emby Client Logs (Emby client is running Emby Home Theater on Win10) - The client throws the error at around the 12:15:49 timeframe Edit: One interesting thing i just noticed is that my windows 10 client has two versions of Emby Home Theater Client (after a fresh install) There are Two subfolders: "System.Old" and "System". "System.Old" contains version 2.7.7.0 and "System" contains version 2.7.8.0 So far with every time I've tried 2.7.7.0, Emby uses DirectStream and I inadvertently run into the above problem. And every time I've tried 2.7.8.0, Emby always seems to use Transcoding and therefore while I don't run into the above problem, I am spending a lot of CPU power on the server which I would prefer not to do. I am not sure why 2.7.8.0 is not using Direct Stream and I haven't been able to locate the release notes between 2.7.7.0 vs 2.7.8.0 The above may just be conjecture, but I thought i'd mention it ServerWMC.log Emby_Client_ffmpeg_direcstream.log Emby_Server.log Edited May 31, 2017 by Wacind
krustyreturns 191
I don't see any problem in the serverwmc log file and your streams are mpeg2, so that workaround I told you to try doesn't apply. Emby seems to be complaining that an audio timestamp is missing from the serverwmc data and that is why it is crapping out, and - based on your analysis - only in directStream mode. I don't know what is going on there, and it would take some doing to figure out it. Its not something I can get to in the short term. One option that might work is to tell serverwmc to run livestreams in dlna mode with emby, rather then its normal mode. You should be able to do this because your tuner supports dlna. However, your hdhrprime does not seem to be configured quite right. Serverwmc is getting an error when it looks for the hdhrprime tool, namely it can't find: C:\Program Files\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\hdhomerun_config.exe If you can't enable dlna mode in serverwmc its probably due to the above problem. Maybe try reinstalling the hdhrprime sofware on your server machine to get this file back.
