music paths not found

Morning all,

 

Hope this is the right place to ask.  I have Emby running on a PC and i stream it to a pi3 running kodi, everything works apart from the music.  when it syncs it tells me to use path substitution. but my paths are already set to network paths:

\\<server name>\Films

\\<server name>\TV Shows

\\<server name>\Music

 

and its only the music that has this issue.

 

Anyone know anyway around this?

If I had to guess, your video library is not direct playing because Kodi can't locate your files, but uses direct stream from your emby server. Unlike the video library, the music library only support native paths (direct paths to your music). That's why you are only seeing the issue in your music.

 

Via the addon > install from zip > navigate to your music library. Does Kodi have access? Is the path the same or is it using the ip address? Hopefully that'll let you know what's wrong.
