But I didn't used VLC Player to play the file, I used the Internal player of the emby app.

 

Thanks.  The app was attempting to play it in an embedded version of VLC and does not like it.

 

If you have the actual VLC app installed on the box, I'd be interested in whether or not it can play the file directly.

If I set emby to use an external player and then select VLC, it plays everything perfectly, no errrors and the subtitles get rendered correctly

Okay.  Until we can figure out exactly what is going wrong here, that may be your best option.

Ok, I sended you the downloadlink to the samplefile per pm because I don't own that file so I don't want to distribute it on the internet :)

ebr you are a wizard! I tested it with version: 1.3.25g and everything worked perfectly, no skipping and the subtitles are rendered correctly, thank you so much.
