ebrithiljonas 5
Hello I found an problem with the rendering of the subtitles in the Android TV app. Here are two images to compare between the app and the webplayer of emby: Android TV app: Webplayer: I also included the subtitlefile from that video. The Scene from screenshots is at 6:21 or line 242 in the file. The problem with this error is, because all subtitles are shown as text only in the bottom, so its not possible to read all of them, because some are shown at the same time. Devices and Versions: Emby Server Windows: 3.2.12.0 Emby Androit TV App : 1.3.21g Registered Device: Nvidia Shield TV gen 1 I hope I provided enough material to resolve this issue if its possible. Also let me know if you need more information or another example. Luke 37099
Hi there, thanks for the report. Can you please provide the emby server log so that we can establish what kind of playback we're dealing with? You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks !
ebrithiljonas 5
Here are the four logs from today, this is the time where I did all of the testing for the bug report. Also there were no ffmpeg logs made today, so no transcoding was done. logs.zip
ebrithiljonas 5
Hello I still have the exact same Issue as described above and need to watch with the "use external player" option. But with this setting on, emby isn't as fun to use as with the internal player, so is this bug ever considered to be fixed or not?
Luke 37099
Are these internal or external subtitles? what are the video and subtitle file names?
ebrithiljonas 5
These are internal subtitles, in the first post I added an example of the wrongly shown subtitle that I extracted out of the video
ebr 14925
Hi. Can you play the item and then send a log from the app please? Thanks. Instructions here.
ebrithiljonas 5
Ok I just played back the scene and sendet the log via the option on the App. The user that I'm logged on is "jonas".
ebrithiljonas 5
Now I waited a few updates, tried to enforce emby to burn in subtitles but couldn't found a solution for that. I'm still forced to use VLC Player to view my series on emby because of that bug.If you need more information or even remote-access to my server to check, I would do anything if this bug gets patched out. ebrithiljonas 5
No ffmpeg log was created, I attached the log from that session, the filename was: "Mob Psycho 100 - S01E01" server-63635241600.txt
ebr 14925
Okay, sorry, there was one other spot I didn't change the subtitle handling. You can re-try this with the next beta of the app. It is possible it still won't work and, if not, we'll have to try a last-resort. Thanks. ebrithiljonas 5
I tried it again with version 1.4.23g, but now it just skips the video completely and goes directly to the next episode and disables the subtitles. I attached the serverlog from this session, the filename was again: "Mob Psycho 100 - S01E01". server-63635587199.txt

ebrithiljonas 5
Ok I just did it, I started the first episode, then it showed that the subtitles aren't supportet and skipped directly to episode 2.
ebr 14925
then it showed that the subtitles aren't supportet Exactly, what message did you receive?
ebrithiljonas 5
The Message was: "Untertitel konnten nicht geladen werden"
ebr 14925
Okay, that message came from VLC I'm pretty sure. It also was not able to find what should have been your default audio track and then VLC just completely gave up thinking the item was finished. Can you please paste in the media info from the web app for this item?
