Xbox one App wont play somes files

Hi,

  So i half posted on a different thread. figured i would start a new topic.

 

My issue has only showed up in the past week or two. When i try to play movies on my Xbox One Emby app sometimes they will just not work, After i click play it brings up a "Background" image like it is loading the movie and will not leave the screen. It seems to be random movies, and just based off the temperment of my xbox for the day as some days it will play one file fine, the next it wont, and vise versa.

 

And the files that wont work on Xbox will work find on PC.

I have included the Transcode for not working Xbox attempt

and the working from my PC 

 

I do also have a video to show you what i mean with the problem if you need it, since i dont explain things well lol

I hope these help, i had to revert to using plex on my xbox which i hate cause Emby didnt want to work anymore lol

 

*Edit* It will stay on that splash screen till i exit out of Emby from the dashboard

These are videos of you running the Emby app. Are you saying I should test these video files?

No, my app freezes at this point on random movies in my collection but sometimes they work fine, but they will play on Emby Android, Emby Theater and Web on my PC  and Direct all the time.. I was trying to figure out why the App on my Xbox One is not playing them right. 

 

I attached the Transcode from when i tried to play a movie on Xbox (Not Working) and 2 minutes later it working fine on my PC (Working).. 

 

Like i said in OP i suck at trying to explain things sorry

 

*Edit* Up until about 2 weeks ago everything worked flawless.

Having the same issues. Xbox One is unusable with Emby right now. Was working great for me as well until about two weeks ago.

@@colejack, how is it trying to play them? Can you please attach the emby server log? You can learn how to do that here:

I tried Emby Theater and DLNA. I'll have to find time to test it again and grab the server log. Busy this past couple weeks with our first tiny human being born.
