On android 6.0 do you have the android system webview installed from the play store? if not, are you able to install that?

Did you find a fix, as I am having the same problem.  I start Emby, push the Blue Live TV button, select a channel, and when I push play the circle goes round and round like it is trying to start, but then it crashes.   Sometime ago it started crashing, but then I would quickly start the app again and it would play.  I always had to start it two times, but now I can start it 5 times but it will not play.  I see it has opened the stream on WMC PVR. I have loaded Kodi into my phone and use the Emby addon and it will work fine.  I would rather use the Emby app though.  Phone is Samsung S4 running 4.2.2 Android

UPDATE:

I have noticed if I go into the Emby server and select Use External Players, then go to my phone and start the Emby App, select a live TV channel and then a little window pops up asking which player I want to use, so I select Kodi or another that I have installed, then Emby plays Live TV and does not crash.  Appears to be a problem with the internal Emby Player.  I have uninstalled and re- installed Emby App, but it did not correct the situation.  Please help.

I'm still looking into it. It's not obvious unfortunately and I do have older devices for testing that are starting up OK.
