Scan media folder

Hello, first time here, i just installed Emby Version 3.1.5.0 for my Mac and i went throught the wizard and located my folder i have my media in and can not get it to scan, its like it doesn't even recognize it, and I've tried multiple folders from local to attached drives, i keep getting this every time i hit the scan button

Hi, are you sure this log is from the time of the library scan? I don't see any attempts to run the scan. Thanks !

That was the most recent log I pulled, it won't even scan at all maybe that's why it doesn't show, when I click scan an alert pops up on the corner saying it couldn't retrieve. I tried it on my wife's computer a windows machines and had no problems at all, so it's something with my mac.
